TRANSLATIONAL SCIENCES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

ImmunoGen is currently looking for an individual to join our Translational Sciences team. The Operations Specialist, Translational Sciences (TS) will report to the Head of Translational Sciences and will support all TS functions (Translational Medicine, Clinical Pharmacology, and Toxicology). This role will facilitate and manage a broad range of projects, vendors, and document management tasks to ensure execution of the objectives set out by the Translational Sciences team.
Responsibilities
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Clinical Operations staff to develop clinical trial documentation (protocols, ICF etc.) and ensure these documents adequately address TS goals.
- Manage pre-clinical and clinical external vendors; working with TS subject matter experts, and other cross functional teams to perform due diligence, contract negotiation and execution, purchase order generation, sample and data management, milestone tracking, and vendor close-out activities.
- Work across all TS functions and programs to track program deliverables, timelines, and deadlines.
- Work closely and collaboratively with Clinical Development operations and other project managers to ensure efficient integration of Translational Sciences budgets and deliverables into the Corporate and Clinical Development planning and tracking.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support all internal and external Translational Sciences operational and logistical needs to ensure Translational Sciences’ objectives are met.

Qualifications
- The qualified candidate will possess a BA/BS degree in life sciences or other related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience in industry (biotech/pharma/CRO)
- Experience with clinical trial documentation, drug development and vendor oversight preferred
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to work in cross-functional, collaborative team environment
- Ability to multi-task, work independently.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
