The Position

This is a hands-on, laboratory-based position for an Associate Scientist as a key member of Bioanalysis team.

Responsibilities

• Execute in vitro and ex vivo studies to facilitate drug discovery independently
• Maintain a high level of productivity in the lab and perform critical experiments
• Demonstrate independence in troubleshooting and solving technical problems
• Present research findings to project teams and governance bodies and prepare study reports
• May interact with multiple program teams

Requirements:

• BS with 5+ years of experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, or a related field of biology
• Ability to work with a small team of scientists, while working closely with other research groups and senior managers
• Excellent problem-solving skills in assay design, data analysis and interpretation
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated team player with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, multi-disciplinary, matrixed environment

Preferred:

• Prior hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, in vitro cell-based assays, molecular biology including qPCR, immunoassays
• Previous pharmaceutical/biotech experience

California pay range

$60,000—$100,000 USD
